Once, in 1918, Father Joseph Pavaillon arrived in the village of Mouterre-sur-Blourde, and climbed up to the top of his church’s steeple. Upon seeing the series of green valleys, he exclaimed “it looks just like a little Switzerland”.
This discovery inspired him to travel around the countryside; it gave rise to a desire to affirm the area’s picturesque qualities, and resulted in these few poetic lines:

This circuit is one of 3 circuits known collectively as "La Petite Suisse", located in the Luchapt, Millac and Mouterre-sur-Blourde area.
